Privacy policy

Last Updated: August 10, 2026

Your privacy matters to us, and we would rather explain it properly than hide behind legal language you have to fight through.

This Privacy Policy tells you what personal information Leidi & Co., LLC collects, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, how we protect it, and exactly what rights you have over it. If you have a question about anything on this page, email us at hello@leidiandco.com.

This policy applies to https://leidiandco.com/ and to every interaction you have with us, including purchases, account creation, customer support inquiries, email marketing, social media messages, and general browsing.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the practices described here.

We do not ask for it, and we do not want it.

4. Why We Collect Your Information

  • Order Fulfillment: Processing your order, taking payment, arranging delivery, and sending you tracking information.
  • Customer Support: Answering your questions and handling returns, exchanges, and any issues that come up.
  • Marketing Communications: Sending news, offers, and new collection announcements, where you have opted in.

  • Account Management: Creating and maintaining your customer account and order history.
  • Website Analytics: Understanding how visitors use our site so that we can improve it.
  • Legal and Compliance: Meeting our tax, accounting, regulatory, and legal obligations.
  • Product Improvement: Understanding which products work well and which need reworking.

We only use your information for the purposes listed above. If we ever want to use it for something materially different, we will tell you first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

5. Our Legal Grounds for Processing

Where applicable law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing your personal information, we rely on the following:

  • Performance of a Contract: We need your name, address, and contact details to fulfill the order you placed with us.
  • Legitimate Interests: Running a secure store, preventing fraud, improving our products, and understanding site performance are legitimate business interests that do not override your rights.
  • Consent: We send marketing emails only where you have opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Legal Obligation: Tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws require us to keep certain transaction records.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We have never done so, and we do not intend to.

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent they need it to perform their function. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and is contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

  • Shopify provides our e-commerce platform, website hosting, and order management, and receives your name, contact details, addresses, and order data.
  • Shopify Payments processes payments and receives your payment and billing information.
  • Shop Pay provides accelerated checkout and payment processing and receives your payment, contact, and address information.
  • PayPal processes payments and receives your payment and billing information.
  • Apple Pay processes payments and receives your payment and billing information.
  • Google Pay processes payments and receives your payment and billing information.
  • Klarna provides buy now, pay later processing and receives your payment, contact, and billing information.
  • Afterpay provides buy now, pay later processing and receives your payment, contact, and billing information.
  • Google Analytics provides website analytics and performance measurement and receives usage data, your IP address, and cookie identifiers.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) provides advertising, remarketing, and social engagement, and receives usage data, cookie identifiers, and hashed contact data.
  • USPS delivers and tracks orders and receives your name, shipping address, and contact details.
  • UPS delivers and tracks orders and receives your name, shipping address, and contact details.

We may also disclose personal information where we are legally required to do so, for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, tax authority request or other lawful request from a government body. We may also disclose information where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Leidi & Co., our customers, or the public.

If Leidi & Co. is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of business assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If that happens, we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy, and you will have the opportunity to delete your data first.

7. Payment Information

We do not store, see, or have access to your full payment card details at any point.

All card payments are processed by PCI DSS-compliant payment providers listed in Section 6. Your card data is transmitted directly to the provider you select through an encrypted connection. What we receive back is confirmation that the payment succeeded, the payment method used, and the last four digits of the card, which we keep purely so we can identify your order if you contact us about it.

If you choose an installment provider such as Klarna or Afterpay, that provider will collect and process additional information under its own privacy policy and its own agreement with you. We recommend reading their terms before selecting that option.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your preferences, measure site performance, and show relevant advertising.

  • Strictly necessary cookies keep the cart, checkout, login, and site security working. These cannot be turned off because the website cannot function without them.
  • Preference cookies remember your settings and choices. These can be turned off.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. These can be turned off.
  • Marketing cookies allow relevant advertising to be shown to you on other platforms. These can be turned off.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of our website, including checkout, from working.

Our website responds to Global Privacy Control signals when your browser sends them. If your browser transmits a valid opt-out preference signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

9. Marketing Communications and How to Opt Out

You can opt out at any time, and it takes one click.

If you have subscribed to our marketing emails, every message we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you from our marketing list immediately.

You can also email us at hello@leidiandco.com and simply ask to be removed. We will action it within 24-48 hours and confirm once it is done.

Please note that unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, delivery updates, and return correspondence. Those are necessary to fulfill your order and are sent regardless of your marketing preferences.

If you message us on Instagram, that conversation is handled through Meta’s platform and is subject to both Meta’s privacy policy and this one.

10. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.

  • Order and transaction records are kept for as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws.
  • Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account.
  • Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Customer support correspondence is kept for a reasonable period after resolution, in case there is any related follow-up.
  • Analytics data is kept in line with the retention settings of the analytics providers we use.
  • Fraud prevention records are kept for as long as needed to protect the business and meet our legal obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • SSL/TLS encryption across every page of our website
  • PCI DSS compliant payment processing through established providers
  • Restricted internal access to customer data, granted strictly on a need-to-know basis
  • Secure hosting through Shopify, which maintains its own extensive security program
  • Strong authentication on all administrative accounts
  • Regular review of the third parties we work with

We should be honest with you: no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and no business can promise absolute security. What we can promise is that we take it seriously and that we will act quickly if something goes wrong.

If we ever become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulatory authorities without undue delay and in line with applicable law, and we will tell you what happened, what information was involved and what we are doing about it.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal information.

  • Right to Know and Access: Request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, a copy of that information, and details of how it is collected, used, and shared.
  • Right to Correction: Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.
  • Right to Deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to information we are legally required to retain.
  • Right to opt-out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell personal information. You may also opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising at any time.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: We do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to limit, but the right stands.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never charge you a different price, provide a different quality of service, or deny you service because you exercised a privacy right.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request your information in a portable, structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
  • Right to Appeal: If we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider, and we will review it with fresh eyes and explain our reasoning.

How to Make a Request

Email hello@leidiandco.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like us to do.

To protect your information, we will need to verify your identity before we act. This usually means confirming details associated with your account or a recent order. We will never ask you for your password or full payment card number as part of verification.

We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, which is generally within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and keep you informed.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights listed above.

  • We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.
  • We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
  • You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will ask the agent for written proof of authorization and may still contact you directly to confirm.
  • You may also contact the California Attorney General or the California Privacy Protection Agency if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Other Jurisdictions

If you are located outside the United States and choose to browse our website, please be aware that your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your own country. We currently ship within the United States only.

Where you have rights under a law such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation, we will honor those rights, and you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

13. Automated Decision-Making

We use automated fraud screening tools provided by Shopify to help identify potentially fraudulent orders. These tools flag orders for review rather than decide anything on their own. A human being at Leidi & Co. reviews every flagged order before any decision is made.

If your order is canceled following a fraud review, you will be notified and refunded in full, and you are welcome to contact us to discuss it.

14. Children’s Privacy

Our website and products are intended for purchase by adults.

You must be 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to make a purchase. Younger visitors may browse our website and place an order only with the involvement, permission, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who takes full responsibility for the transaction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@leidiandco.com, and we will remove it.

15. Third-Party Links and Social Media

Our website and social media channels may contain links to third-party websites, including our payment providers, carriers, and social platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of those websites.

We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit through a link from ours.

16. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is currently no uniform industry standard for how businesses should respond to these signals, so our website does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals specifically. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 8.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our technology, the service providers we use, or the law.

The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date at the top, and it takes effect from the date of posting. Where the changes are significant, we will notify you by email or through a clear notice on our website before they take effect.

We encourage you to review this page periodically so you always know where you stand.

18. Contact Us About Privacy

If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or about how we handle your personal information, please contact us. A real person will read your message and respond.
